Friends, we are delighted to welcome our own Tom Peterson, presenting at FaithHealth Grand Rounds on Wed., March 22 from 9-10 a.m. (eastern time) on Zoom on the topic of “Accelerating World Change.”

Tom will be sharing lessons from his new book, Want to Change the World?, published in 2022  by Stakeholder Press. He is also creator of the new website Cosmorock.org. Both resources offer “things to think about” if you want to change the world: the call for audacity, the power of a bold goal, how ideas emerge and spread, the daily slog, how to grow your cause, creating a mighty message, brands and symbols, exploring growth possibilities, finding and creating community, and taking on the ogres that guard against progress.

A nonprofit leader and strategist, Tom Peterson headed marketing and communications at Heifer International for almost two decades. Under his leadership annual marketing revenue grew from $3 million to $90 million. During his tenure Heifer was featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, 60 Minutes and West Wing. For 15 years Peterson taught marketing for nonprofits at the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, where he lives. He manages communications for the FaithHealth division of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and for Stakeholder Health. In the 1980s, he edited Seeds, a magazine about U.S. and world hunger. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
