Webinar & Report: CBO Voices and Perspectives on CalAIM

On March 28, 2024 a Stakeholder Health webinar released a research report, commissioned by CommonSpirit Health:  “CBO Voices and Perspectives on CalAIM.”

Why should you care? Stakeholder has always been curious about the world on the other side of the sidewalk from the hospital. California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal or CalAIM is a bold large-scale experiment in aligning government, healthcare and a vast array of community assets. This is a long-term commitment to improve Medi-Cal for people with complex needs by extending care beyond hospitals and other health care settings into communities.

In conjunction with Camino Research Institute, Stakeholder Health interviewed and analyzed findings in summer 2023 from 46 Community Based Organization (CBO) representatives, ranging in different levels of engagement with CalAIM and representing over 60% of California counties. Study findings and recommendations will be presented in the webinar, as well as hearing from CBO representative voices, with a focus on solutions to the challenges CBOs encounter in CalAIM participation.
