Takeaways from Rapid Learning Session on COVID-19 Vaccine Education and Distribution. February 10, 2021

This document summarizes a February 2021 Stakeholder Health learning session focused on joint health system and community efforts to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to vulnerable communities.

Participants addressed three key questions focused on gaining community trust and vaccine acceptance, current vaccine practices, and protocols to distribute vaccines and further build trust with low-income and minority communities.

Recurring themes, included building community trust, the involvement of trusted community leaders in messaging, crucial partnership building (including Public Health and faith communities), the need to cite both data and the language of faith in messaging, registration and transportation assistance.
