Join us on February 27-28, 2020 at Cedarbrook Lodge in Seattle, WA for a gathering of leaders to come together and take a moment to understand what is needed to ensure that we support our patients and communities on their journeys of health. This conversation is designed for health care systems and community stakeholders putting together electronic community resource platforms.
Health systems around the country are grappling with solutions for electronic community resource platforms. In many cases, however, the systems are forced to make technology decisions to support this work before they understand the components necessary for successful connections and building healthier communities.
Health system leaders addressed this issue in the book Stakeholder Health: Insights from New Systems of Health (2016). Chapter 4, entitled “Optimizing the Patient Encounter: Relational Technology that Integrates Social and Spiritual Domains into the Electronic Health Record,” applauded the importance this much-needed paradigm shift, and provided an overview of promising practices and other progress to date. We all feel it is time for us to revisit our learnings and take our conversations to the next level.
