On December 7, 2016, Marice Ashe joined us for a webinar entitled Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change. As the CEO and founder of the Oakland-based nonprofit ChangeLab Solutions, Ashe creates pioneering efforts to improve and sustain communities. Through the tools of law, public policy, and leadership engagement ChangeLab Solutions designs practical solutions to help all communities—especially those most at-risk.

During her webinar discussion, Ashe discussed the impact that socioeconomic factors have on health outcomes and how policy can be used as a tool to create more equitable, healthy communities. Additionally, Ashe provided a brief overview of the work being done by ChangeLab Solutions in the areas discussed as well as tools that are available for communities that want to implement new policies to improve the health of the population.
